Teaching Preparation

The following information will help you prepare for teaching in MCoB and other classrooms around campus.

  Where Technology is Available
Classrooms, seminar rooms, and the Jordan Auditorium in MCoB are enabled with a variety of technologies. (Computer, Projector, Laptop Connection, DVD/Blu-Ray Player, Telephone, Document Camera, etc.)

Faculty and Auxiliary Lab Resources

  insideND Portal
The University is implementing insideND as the primary mode of communication with students, faculty and staff.

insideND is the main entry point to register for classes, access grades, access financial accounts, etc. and the list is growing.

insideND provides single sign-on for many resources like Webmail, WebFile, Sakai, Finance System, Groups Tool...

insideND provides channels for University Libraries, external news sources, weather, etc. You can create tabs for favorite sites, like CobWeb Mendoza Intranet, to make insideND a truly useful portal for your life at ND.

We provide services and support for all kinds of teaching and learning through technology that is easy to use and reliable.

Classroom Technology

The technology in each MCoB classroom is easy to use, up to date, and reliable. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and a variety of other software packages are installed on the computers in all ND classrooms. Windows 7 is the current operating system that we offer.

You'll find a variety of other technology in each classroom such as DVD Players and Document Cameras as well as provisions for connecting laptops and portable equipment.

Sakai Course Management System

Sakai is the University's Course Management System. Sakai is integrated with the Office of the Registrar so registration information is applied real-time, as it is being submitted by students.

Equipment Checkout

Mendoza IT maintains a variety of equipment that is available to borrow and use in MCoB and on your travels.
